Connected quarry operations
From the truck at the weighbridge to the invoice in the office: connected systems for a working quarry.
The problem
The weighbridge and office relied on separate systems. Staff recorded loads manually, then transferred the figures. Existing software offered little flexibility and could not connect the physical operation with quoting and invoicing.
What I built
Two connected parts of one workflow. At the weighbridge, RFID identifies trucks, a direct connection reads the weight, and the barrier opens when a stable weight is recorded. Empty and loaded weights are matched automatically. The on-site service buffers records if the internet drops and synchronises when it returns.
In the office, GB Sales connects quotes, orders, dispatch, delivery notes and invoices. Customer pricing and document numbering are handled centrally, with weighing records flowing into the commercial workflow.
The result
Trucks are identified, weighed and recorded automatically. The office can follow loads through dispatch and invoicing without re-entering the same figures across separate systems.
